Do you really have what it takes to be one of the most talented expatriate photographers? I’m pretty sure you’ve heard of our international photography competition fully dedicated to expats all over the world and if not, then this is a great opportunity for you to get to know more about it and submit your photos as soon as possible.

We're so excited to let you know that the 1st edition of the Expats International Photo Contest is doing well. Thank you all for these great submissions from all over the world. As you know, the call for entries opened early April and was supposed to end on the 10th of June 2015, followed by the first selection by the online jury.

It has, however, been brought to our attention that a lot of you couldn't log into your accounts on our website to submit your photos. Some didn't receive the account creation confirmation email that contained the account activation link to successfully submit their entries. Apparently, this bug has been there for a few days now. Our technicians have been trying to look for the problem and nothing has been found yet.

Some new applicants have been logging in without an issue while others just couldn't because of this bug. I'd like to apologize for this Technical error and request that if you don't have access to your account or fail to create one to please let us know. If you succeed in creating one, please make sure to remember your exact name, username, email address and the password. I know how frustrating it is to be unable to submit images when one has spent hours or even days searching for that best shot.

Those of you who follow us on social media saw our tweet advising everyone experiencing this bug to submit their entries via email. Right after that message went viral, we received a few more entries and that was nice sign.

Having realized that this situation disrupted the whole submission procedure, we decided (together with the jury members) to extend the submissions' deadline to one more month, giving a chance to everyone to submit their photos.

I'd like to thank you all for your submissions and encourage others to do the same.

The submission period has been extended. Now you have up to the 10th of July 2015 to submit your photos via our website. You can as well do it via email if you encounter any technical problem. Send it to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Big thanks to you all and let's keep in touch.

Ooh, wait a minute. I'd like to encourage you to follow and like us on social media (mainly twitter and facebook) as that's where you'll get daily updates on what's happening around here but also, that's where we're mostly active in terms of communicating with our members and applicants.

Did I mention, somewhere in this post, that we're still looking for volunteers? Yes, we do. Look at the following volunteer opportunities and please get in touch. We'd love to hear from you. We need your support.

Can't wait to see more of those lovely images and emails.

Until then.
